The Recycled Claim Standard is an international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for thirdparty certification of recycled input and chain of custody. The shared goal of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials.
Why do you need RCS certification for items
This certification ensures that the identity of the recycled materials is maintained:
from the recycler to the final product.
When is RCS applied to an item?
RCS is the standard used when part of a product, but not the entire product has been made from recycled materials.
Who makes the RCS certificate
The RCS certification is made by an appointed third party who has no business relation with anyone involved in the production chain of the product.
